Abstract

This chapter looks at how transformational leadership may change the way we think about teaching local history, through an emphasis on how culture of organization affects this in Ethiopia's education system. The study uses a quantitative research methodology through a sample size of 385 people to look at the nexus among transformational leadership, culture of organization, as well as new ways of teaching local history. The outcomes show that transformational leadership has a big impact on how local history is taught by creating an culture of organization that supports innovation as well as teamwork among teachers. This chapter shows how transformational leaders may get people involved in local history by getting them to try innovative teaching methods. The effects on how schools work are huge, showing how essential it is for leaders to create an environment that encourages new ideas. Schools may better meet the needs of all their students by encouraging a transformational approach to teaching local history.
