Abstract
India is celebrating its first-ever National Space Day today, August 23, marking a year since the historic landing of Chandrayaan-3’s Vikram Lander on the Moon’s South Pole. The achievements of India’s space program are numerous and varied, encompassing indigenous launch capacity, successful missions to the Moon and Mars, satellite launches into multiple orbits, and the development of a robust national security space infrastructure.
