Abstract
Kosaku Yoshino's work on cultural nationalism, expressed in both his book Cultural Nationalism in Contemporary Japan, and in its Japanese version, The Sociology of Cultural Nationalism, established that subject as a serious area of inquiry and certainly established him as an important voice in Japanese sociology.
