Abstract

Due to continuous power struggles between global powers, the Balkans have maintained their geopolitical nature as an international border area. As the world readies itself for a second term of the Trump presidency, the Balkan nations are facing a crucial point in their development. This chapter navigates into the potential shifts in Balkan foreign policy under Trump 2.0 administration. This would impact power dynamics throughout a region handled by EUand NATO and Russia and China. The research investigates the possible resulting effects on Balkan stability, security and economic advancement. An American power reduction could potentially generate space that Russia and China would exploit by advancing their strategic reach through political engagement, economic opportunities and energy deals. This chapter creates an extensive analysis of Balkan geopolitical modifications anticipated under a Trump 2.0 presidency by undergoing detailed evaluation of relevant themes. It ends with suggested policies for maintaining Balkan stability given the unpredictable changes in U.S. foreign policy.
