Abstract
The rapid advancement of artificial intelligence (AI) is transforming industries and job roles, driving a shift in the skills required for success. As automation and data-driven decision-making become central to operations, traditional competencies are becoming obsolete. To remain competitive, organisations must align their workforce with AI-driven demands through reskilling and upskilling initiatives. This chapter explores organisational strategies for workforce readiness, focusing on project management approaches and theoretical frameworks that support skill development. Key models are reviewed to create a framework for developing essential competencies, including interpersonal, intrapersonal, and digital literacy skills. Practical methods such as training programs, partnerships, and continuous feedback are examined. Challenges such as resistance to change, resource constraints, and unequal access to skills development are addressed. By integrating project management with workforce development strategies, organisations can prepare their workforce for evolving demands.
