Abstract
This chapter examines the disruptive influence of sports analytics on the optimization of performance, game tactics, and fans' involvement in the game. Cases that varied in the book were as such player performance analysis, injury prevention, and game tactics. The chapter addresses data accuracy, stakeholder resistance, and the ethical considerations of using analytics that are bound into privacy concerns. It also covers future trends, including more advanced artificial intelligence, wearable technology, and immersive experiences, which will remain important dynamics moving into the future for teams seeking to tap into data as a source of competitive advantage.
