Abstract
The loss of Aam Aadmi Party in the recently concluded elections in Delhi must be analysed in the context of its visible diffi culty in being able to govern the city effectively and its recurring friction with the union government. The defeat also signifi es a rejection of the party’s overweening ambition, combined with its increasingly ambiguous and unconvincing ideological positioning.
