Abstract

Digital technologies have profoundly impacted the financial sector, especially in how we save and invest. Traditional financial institutions have had to reconsider how they provide their services to compete with new competitors in banking services. These are forward-thinking businesses operating in the financial technology sector. These players hope to gain a position in the financial sector by lowering the costs of financial services and increasing the effectiveness of their operations. This evolution has given rise to new strategies of collaborating and forming relationships between established players and new entrants known as FinTech players (especially BigTechs). This new business model results from financial and technological advances involving structural and organizational changes among the various parties involved. FinTech also presents a green financing mechanism that could contribute to speeding the achievement of sustainable development. This chapter aims to present this specific industry as a driver of financial service development to promote financial inclusion for a better tomorrow. We are particularly concerned about the general upward trajectory in Morocco in terms of the expansion and readiness of these services, as well as their influence on consumer relationships. Thus, this chapter provides a better understanding of the critical factors of FinTech adoption through the Moroccan perspective and with an interdisciplinary approach.
