Abstract

The United States (US) presidential elections on 4 November, with Kamala Harris from the Democrats versus former President Donald Trump, the hope of the Republicans, is at a feverish pitch, with even countries globally taking sides. Despite daily opinion polls, state-by-state maps between red (Republicans) and blue (Democrats), media frenzy and analysis of campaign trails, and high betting, the outcome appears unpredictable with margins being razor thin. The US voters are divided between the two contenders, while others like Jill Stein struggle in this bipolar contest. The electorate is polarised on who should lead as the US is divided on all major issues and culture wars rage.
