Abstract
Exploring the crucial role of Blockchain Technology (BCT) in Hospital Supply Chains (HSCs) remains one of the biggest challenges for researchers and practitioners, despite growing research interest in the technology. Based on various BCT-based HSC features and applications, more than 33 research papers were examined. In light of this, the research reported a thorough analysis of the BCT applications in HSC. By reviewing and evaluating the available studies, the authors of this paper aim to demonstrate the enormous potential and significance of BCT in HSCs. This study gives an overview of the incorporation of BCT in HSCs as well as a discussion of the issues associated with adoption, including interoperability, scalability, and high costs, and offers potential solutions. The study discovered that the applications of BCT for quality control, finance, and logistics have received the majority of research attention.
