Abstract
The rising use of AI has swept the globe. The use of AI is endless, from being used to create autonomous cars to aiding research work. And its impacts can be felt in the legal industry as well. Law firms are becoming more adept at using AI to assist with drafting and evidence-related review work. The use of AI is not limited to law firms but is slowly being incorporated into the global justice system. Countries such as the USA, UK, China, etc., are implementing AI tools in different capacities to aid judges in their decision-making capacity. However, AI remains underutilized due to its inability to make morally and legally sound decisions. In this article, I wish to study the possibilities and limitations of creating a morally sound AI.
