Abstract
Digital Therapeutics (DTx) is an expanding category of healthcare technologies utilising evidence-based software programs to treat, manage, or prevent illnesses and afflictions. The rise of DTx signifies a substantial transformation in the healthcare industry, providing cutting-edge remedies for managing, treating, and preventing diseases using software-based treatments. Nevertheless, the implementation of DTx encounters various obstacles driven by an intricate legal, technological, economic, and behavioural interaction. This study utilises System Dynamics Modelling (SDM) to examine the complicated dynamics that impact the adoption of DTx. The model showcases the interaction between these elements over time, illustrating how they affect the rate and extent of DTx adoption by simulating different situations. The model also examines the effects of potential legislative interventions, technological advancements, and strategic collaborations within the business to overcome barriers to adoption. This study offers a thorough overview of the adoption landscape, providing valuable information for developers of DTx, health care policymakers, and stakeholders who aim to fully use the potential of DTx in enhancing patient outcomes and transforming healthcare delivery.
