Abstract
Museums have continually developed since their creation. Today's museum landscape offers various interest groups a variety of points of contact. For those concerned with history and education, museum exhibitions serve an important educational role. Anyone interested in diplomacy and politics sees museums as influential mediators of 'soft power' ( Chia/Lim 2023 ). This article is intended to encourage reflection on the importance of museums for diplomatic relations and to situate these considerations in a feminist academic context.
