Abstract

Low carbon discourse has attained global popularity in the last decade. The objective of this study is to find the evolving trend inf low carbon discourse within the context of India by exploring relevant existing literature. The investigation involves a comprehensive analysis based on parameters such as year-wise, author-wise, citation-wise, and source-wise listings of literature. The study employs the bibliometric method using the Scopus database, with a particular focus on keyword co-occurrence determined through VOSviewer. The analysis shows a rising interest among academicians in sustainable development and climate change mitigation, with a focus on alternative energy, decarbonization and climate change policies to reduce carbon emissions. The findings also indicate the major contributions of prominent researchers and their affiliated institutions shaping the discourse on low carbon in India. This study serves a valuable resource for various stakeholders including policymakers, scholars and practitioners engaged in the pursuit of low carbon future for India
