This chapter provides a conceptual and contextual understanding of information technology-induced changes in military affairs. The description of Revolution in Military Affairs is drawn from studying the RAND reports and other secondary resources. Following the description, the chapter provides a conceptual understanding of war, hybrid warfare. Subsequently, it explains how the new digital technologies are contextualized in the changes within military affairs. This chapter is aimed to provide a basic understanding of the concepts that are used in analyzing the changing nature of warfare. It assists scholars and national security decision-makers in building their further work.
