The study aims to investigate how vividness to future self affects Indian executives’ perseverance and its subsequent impact their tendency to joyfully explore things at workplace. The study adopted a survey-based design among 202 executives working in diverse sectors in India. Structural equation modeling (SEM) was applied to check the role of perseverance as mediator and its relationship with other key constructs. The findings demonstrated that Indian employees often involve in joyful exploration at workplace and had a positive relation with vividness of future self. Moreover, perseverance had a positive relation with both vividness of future self and joyful exploration and partially mediates their relationship. The study contributes by identifying the factors influencing the joyous exploration among Indian employees. Based on the findings, Indian organizations could aim to promote vividness of future to enhance the level of perseverance and joyful exploration among employees. This study contributes to existing literature by recognizing perseverance in a mediating capacity in positive relation of vividness to future and joyous exploration, specifically in Indian context
