With the increasing ubiquity of the internet network and digital technology, internet addiction is emerging as a highly pervasive form of behavioral addiction. It can be conceptualized as an inability to control internet use despite its subsequent impairment in physiological, psychological, and social functioning. Internet addiction appears to be most prevalent among youth and poses a serious risk in the future. This thesis seeks to examine the effectiveness of Motivational Enhancement Therapy on Internet Addiction.
