Abstract
As a country, India is invariably in white heat. It staggers from one tragedy to another, one disaster to the next. It’s as if its everyday realities are pulled from its ancient epics but its gods rarely arrive to relieve mortals from their toils. While all this happens, India holds mega elections. The recent Assembly elections in four states (especially West Bengal) once again tripped the wires of India’s fault-lines.
