Abstract

The New Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, came into effect starting from May 26. While giants such as Facebook and Google have agreed to comply with these rules, other giants such as Twitter and WhatsApp, a Facebook subsidiary, are not on board with these new rules.
