Abstract
The fast development of information technology and communication includes Internet of Things (IoT), cloud computing, Internet vehicle blockchain technology, V2G technology, and artificial intelligence. The Internet of Vehicles (IoV) is one of the application of IoT. Recently, Vasudev et al. have published a paper [1] in “IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology” with DOI: 10.1109/TVT.2020.2986585 in IoV environment [1]. In this paper, we reviewed Vasudev et al.’s protocol and find some of the design flaws and security features like forward secrecy, vehicle server impersonation attack, insider attack, and others weaknesses. Further, we provide some valuable suggestions for future research for authentication and key agreement protocols in V2V communication.
