Abstract
To improve the ease of doing business and attracting sustainable foreign direct investment inflows across sectors, it is imperative for India to also mature as a federation while displaying strong “cooperative federalism”. With the acceptance of the recommendations of the Fourteenth Finance Commission (FFC) the government seems to be in line to be promoting a cooperative federal polity.
