Abstract
The author believes that the ‘shared responsibility’ model could help in facilitating interaction between public (national and international) and private regimes to build an effective and democratically accountable network of enforcement institutions for better governance of global supply chains. The author aims to explore global policy initiatives that can be undertaken to initiate a change in international law regime; understand the dynamic nature of shared responsibility model through ‘Better Work Jordan’ case study; and suggest changes under the domestic laws with respect to mandatory disclosure regimes and legally binding due diligence reports.
