Abstract

This special issue on Rethinking gender and social policies: In the changing contexts of development across the world encapsulates the cutting-edge debates on gender and social policies globally. This special issue brings together an array of theoretical and empirical debates from developed and developing countries towards identifying common challenges for the feminist academe and movements. In the contemporary economic and political contexts the marginalization of gender issues is not peculiar to specific communities or countries but it is identified as common problem across borders irrespective of trajectory of development.
