Abstract
The article aims at analysing the contours of the territorial dispute which has led to meddling of the international forums but no substantive solutions have come about to unravel the ever evolving and persisting issues. International law puts into force a perspective which enables deeper analysis given the historical context of the Islamic States, along with their strategic significance. It is pertinent to mention that the Westernised perceptions of the East which inbuilds a rather “exotic image” of these disputes remain intrinsic to the analysis from an international legal lens owing to the Eurocentric regulations.
