Abstract
Emotional Intelligence (EQ or EI) is a term created by two researchers: Peter Salovey and John Mayer. Emotional intelligence is defined as a self-perceived ability to identify, assess, and control the emotions of oneself, of others, and of groups. Emotional intelligence is the ability to perceive emotions accurately, to take feelings into account when reasoning, to understand emotions, and to regulate or manage emotions in oneself and others.
