Nelumbo Icona Control Pvt. Ltd. India (NICPL), an ISO certified midsized MSME, provides environmental-friendly customized automation and control solutions domestically in India and globally in twenty countries since 2010. NICPL with planned global expansion, for which it has acquired additional space and workforce, strengthened in-house technology, and secured several orders; has recently become aware of factors hampering its ambitions growth prospects. The purpose is to address challenges on competition, technology, human resources, finances, and regulations faced by NICPL, and to showcase how, through a case study, this MSME adapts and meet its vision, domestically and globally. The methodology adopted is a series of interviews with the top management of the company over one year, entrepreneurship theory literature, and secondary published sources to propose a balancing decision model. The findings include meaningful knowledge to entrepreneurs, especially start-ups and those enrolled under the Make-in-India program. It will be of value to researchers and other MSMEs in India and globally.
