Abstract
Education is the aggregate of all the processes by which people develop abilities, attitudes, and other forms of behaviour of practical value in the society in which they live (Mayurakshi, 2020). Buddhist education is globally acclaimed and has been taught in various Buddhist schools to enhance students' attitudes and behavior (Loc Tan Le, 2022). Buddhist education shapes a student into a free, intelligent, wise, moral, talented, non-violent, and secular person (Meshram, 2013). Gonpa education is the most trusted and important religious and educational system among the Buddhist communities in Nepal. This system follows the Buddha's teaching of the three main aspects, i.e., discipline, meditation, and wisdom. Emotional intelligence refers to the social and emotional competencies, skills, and behaviors that determine how effectively we understand and express ourselves, understand others, and relate with them, and cope with daily demands" (Bar-On, 2005). Likewise, emotional wellbeing refers to a holistic, subjective state which is present when a range of feelings, among them energy, confidence, openness, enjoyment, happiness, calm, and caring, are combined and balanced (Stewart-Brown, 2000).
