Abstract

Gender equality has been positioned as one of the UN sustainable development goals for decent work and economic autonomy of women to build sustainable peace and resilience with equal benefit to women (UN, 2018). It is acknowledged as a key economic development factor in the 21st century by the World Economic Forum, UN, and World Bank to achieve gender goals of equality (Kate, 2017). Women’s participation in employment reflects the country’s women empowerment, contributing to the nation’s productivity and development of families (Swaminathan, 2015; Mokta, 2017).
