Abstract
This study examines the complex link within job sustainability and the creation of green jobs in Tanzania, and the role that climate justice at work plays in mediating this link. Drawing on a mixed method approach, this research aims at clarifying the question of how fair and supportive working conditions are environmentally conscious employment opportunities in the Tanzanian context. Specifically, it aims at determining the influence of fair wages, safe working conditions, social protection as well as security as elements of work climate justice for the transition towards a green economy. Next to it, this research will accomplish the research question: how does perceived organizational support for environmental efforts with employee green behavior contribute to job satisfaction and, consequently, proliferation of green jobs. This research forms part of the body of knowledge by creating an integrated structure that combines sustainability at the job, the climate justice, as well as green jobs creation levels that can bring critical information for policymakers.
