Abstract
Recently, the NITI Aayog presented the second edition of the ‘Healthy States, Progressive India’, a report on the ranking of states and union territories (NITI Aayog, 2019). The official aim of the report is to promote a co-operative and competitive spirit among states to bring about rapid improvements in health outcomes.
