Abstract
The chapter examines the unethical nature of outsourcing, mostly on the exploitation of cheap labour and the use of unethical practices in the context of outsourcing. Also, it should focus on the necessity to consider ethical factors, regulatory frameworks, and accountable practices to reduce the prevalence of the cheap labour framework and other unethical practices in outsourcing structures. In the era of sustainable development goals, it is now significant to consider the present situation of labour due to the outsourcing of labour by the MNCs. The results of this chapter indicate that the dark side of outsourcing entails exploitation of workers, like modern slavery, labour rights violations, and unethical behaviours, due to the pressure of cost reduction and the lack of stringent regulations. All these problems need a holistic approach that will involve the labour standards, regulatory framework and business ethics.
