Abstract
Intelligent Automation (IA) represents a paradigm shift, evolving from routine task automation into a strategic lever for scalable growth. This chapter argues that the true potential of IA is unlocked when integrated with a cloud-native architecture. It deconstructs IA's core components-Robotic Process Automation, Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing, and Computer Vision-and demonstrates how their fusion creates cognitive, adaptive systems. The cloud-native model provides the essential fuel for this transformation, offering elastic scalability, access to sophisticated AI services, and accelerated deployment cycles. The chapter provides a comprehensive framework for formulating an IA strategy, a detailed implementation blueprint, and a discussion of critical challenges, including change management and ethical AI. Ultimately, it positions cloud-native IA as an imperative for building a resilient, agile, and future-proof enterprise.
