Abstract
Global supply chains face unprecedented volatility, rendering traditional, linear models obsolete. This chapter argues that resilience and adaptability are now critical competitive advantages, achievable through the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) and cloud-native architectures. It explores the evolution from legacy systems to cognitive networks, detailing how AI enables predictive demand sensing, autonomous planning, and proactive risk management. The cloud-native paradigm—built on microservices and containers—provides the essential scalable infrastructure for these AI capabilities. The chapter further outlines the core technology stack, implementation challenges, and key performance indicators for success. Finally, it envisions the future of hyper-automation and the autonomous supply chain, concluding that this technological fusion is indispensable for building the intelligent, adaptive enterprise capable of thriving in a complex global landscape.
