The article examines the evolution of cop protagonists in contemporary Indian web series, particularly focusing on the characters from "Kaalkoot" and "Kohrra." It highlights how these flawed characters navigate personal and professional challenges while investigating crimes that reflect deeper societal issues, such as gender and caste dynamics. The protagonists, including Sub-inspector Ravi Shankar Tripathi, Sub-inspector Balbir Singh Sekhon, and Assistant Sub-inspector Amarpal Garundi, confront their biases and the patriarchal structures they embody, leading to personal revelations and growth. The narratives emphasize the interconnectedness of their investigations with their own identities and the broader moral implications of their roles within a flawed legal system.
