Abstract
Writing a book about feminist movements in India is far from a straightforward task. These movements do not follow a linear trajectory. They are braided and complex, shaped by overlapping politics, solidarities and dissent. Even the term feminist movement resists a singular definition in the Indian context, wherein fundamental questions, such as where to begin, who speaks and which struggles count, remain both urgent and unresolved.
