Abstract
The present study aims to examine the association between early marriage and experiencing intimate partner violence (IPV) among Egyptian women. Data were drawn from the Demographic and Health Surveys (DHS) and consisted of 6,286 participants. The unadjusted model indicated a statistically significant association between early marriage and experiencing any form of IPV. However, when adjusted for the type of place of residence, education, and wealth index, the odds of experiencing IPV were not found to be statistically significant. The focus of the stakeholders addressing IPV should be toward the prevention of child marriage to reduce the prevalence of IPV in Egypt
