Various Buddhist practices promote virtuous behavior and human flourishing at the individual and community levels. This chapter examines a host of such traditions, practices, and festivals, emphasizing the widely embraced practice of mindfulness. The first part of the chapter discusses prominent Buddhist practices like chanting, charity, and contemplation alongside lesser-known rituals, festivals, and forms of worship. Empirical literature about these practices, where available, is presented. Next, we focus on mindfulness, tracing its origins in the Buddhist tradition, and offer diverse perspectives toward mindfulness, establishing its relevance across geographical and cultural boundaries. Considering the abundant scientific evidence centered on mindfulness, we discuss mindfulness interventions among various groups and present prominent meta-analytic findings in this area. Thereafter, the chapter offers a glimpse of technological innovations in Web applications and gadgets for mindfulness practice, along with emerging empirical literature. Finally, the chapter concludes with recommendations for future research and practice. We endorse greater exchange between traditional wisdom and contemporary knowledge, expansion of scholarship to include diverse Buddhist traditions and more culturally representative samples.
