Abstract

E-Commerce has led to the revolution of the business models in India. E-Commerce has gained popularity due to the low cost of internet and computers, however, the issues concerned with internet security remain a problem for its mass adoption in Indian businesses. Initially starting in 1995-96, E-Commerce in India is leading to rapid growth with increasing internet and revolution of communication technologies. It is positioned as an effective medium for facilitating online business growth leading to empowerment in marketing.
Today, several goods and services are brought online in India. There are companies that provide a single product or service as well as multi-product or service firms. E-Commerce has become the backbone of the Indian society and also influences the customer buying behaviour. There are many company websites providing specific product along with its allied services. The sectors adopting strategy of E-Commerce include stock trading, automobiles, travel and tourism, matrimony, real estate, hobbies and e-commerce, etc. This paper majorly focuses on use of e-commerce in used car market in India.
