Abstract

Arbitration is a form of alternate dispute resolution, that takes place outside the court of law.1 Arbitral tribunal are usually not bound by domestic procedures for collection and evaluation of evidence.2 Thus, there exists a vacuum with respect to laws relating to evidence in International arbitration, making it imperative to examine the rules of evidentiary collection and examination in arbitral tribunals.
