Abstract

The chapter discusses the importance of sustainable finance, especially Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) integration on corporate risk management in unpredictable and volatile geopolitical and economic conditions. It explores the role of ESG as a strategic risk management tool, not a compliance device, by leveraging recent empirical research (2024-2025) and real-world instances. Companies in politically risky or climate-exposed zones are adopting sustainable instruments of finance, blended finance systems, and resilience-based types of management frameworks to reduce exposure. The chapter suggests a unified model between political risk and ESG adoption and financial resilience, and it provides practical insights to managers, policymakers, and investors in the face of uncertainty.
