Abstract

The demands of modern professional life often lead to mental fatigue, stress, and emotional challenges, diminishing individual productivity and overall well-being. According to the WHO (2022), mental health issues account for the loss of nearly 12 billion working days yearly, amounting to an economic burden of over US$ 1 trillion. Tourism provides a unique restorative setting, allowing individuals to disconnect from routine stressors, alleviate negative emotions, and engage in meaningful experiences. While existing studies recognize the significance of tourism in enhancing well-being, there is a dearth of studies on the role of tourist innovativeness (TI) in shaping tourists' experiences and their subsequent influence on well-being. The research investigates this gap by examining the multi-dimensional nature of TI and its influence on subjective well-being (SWB), supported by mediating aspects such as immersion and the feeling of healing.
