Abstract
This chapter focuses on the intersectional nature of the essentials of data management privacy laws and strategic artificial intelligence (AI) implementation in intercountry setting. With data emerging as an important catalyst of innovation and competitive advantage organizations are beginning to struggle more to control data flows between jurisdictions with different regulatory frameworks. In the chapter the authors emphasize the contribution of important privacy laws like the General Data Protection Regulation California Consumer Privacy Act or Personal Information Protection Law to establishing the world of data activities. It addresses how the data localization policies and the effort of digital sovereignty change the data movement across borders and shape the corporate strategies. The chapter also talks about methods like federated learning edge learning and region-oriented AI models which can be used to ensure compliance without adversely affecting performance. The concept of ethics such as bias transparency and accountability are severely examined with the AI models.
