Geopolitical risks have become a major issue of concern to governments, multinational corporations, financial institutions and policy-makers in an increasingly interconnected and volatile world. An accelerated pace of change brought by technological innovation and the alteration in balance of power as a result of heightened globalization has extensively increased the complexity, as well as unpredictability of geopolitical occurrences.
