Abstract

Among the most topical problems of contemporary finance is the lack of sufficient funds to finance climate transition and sustainable development. The normal financial intermediaries are often limited in properly channeling money to projects that could be carried out in an environmental friend way, particularly small scale renewable energy and sustainability projects in the emerging markets. In this respect, the digital investment platforms have emerged as a novel means of raising green capital through the application of financial technology to establish a direct connection between investors and environmentally oriented projects. It is a chapter of analysis of the digital investment platforms in mobilizing the green capital and expanding the participation of the sustainable finance ecosystems. The case-based method of study will be multi-methodology whereby both the conceptual analysis and the comparative case studies of the key digital green investment platforms will be used.
