Abstract
This chapter investigates the impact of the accelerated production development cycle with standardization in digital twin ecosystems, with special emphasis on the mediator function of Internet of Things (IoT) integration in Africa's Horn. The report uses a quantitative research technique along with analyzing data from 385 respondents, comprising product developers and IoT professionals, along with business executives. The study uses essential methods for statistics, such as the Kaiser–Meyer–Olkin index to assess the suitability of the sampling, research factor analysis for determining key structures and confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) for verifying the model for measurement, along with the use of structural equation modeling using AMOS computer software to analyze the interactions between variables as well. The results show that speeding the development process of products has a substantial impact on standardization procedures within virtual reality ecosystems, including IoT integration serving as a key mediator.
