Abstract
Economic inequality runs in dual domains: the bigger picture of economic growth and the feeble background of grassroots development. And true to its name, even the approaches of inequality demonstrate an inequality of interest. After lagging behind economic growth in terms of grabbing international attention for years, the development of the lesser masses in developing countries has finally witnessed a revival. New programmes have been formulated globally to merge the gap between the classes and the masses. However, a uniform approach of facilitating welfare cannot be efficient in dealing with specific cases of remote societies, each having a specific set of hurdles before it. Further, imposing a singular version of modernity and development on all the communities robs them of creating their own path towards advancement. Instead, it disregards the relevance of their skills and tries to fit every diverse model in a singular uniform mould.
