Abstract

The proposal put forth by European Commission (EU) to revise statistical rules that govern the recording of International Trade in Services (ITS), Balance of Payments (BOP), and direct investment abroad would provide an opportunity for the Global South to participate more fully in developing the global economy, especially in the light of the Indian government's goal of reaching a 5$ trillion economy.
