Abstract

India assumed the BRICS presidency on January 1, 2026, and released its logo, theme ('Building for Resilience, Innovation, Cooperation and Sustainability'), and website on January 13, 2026, with a focus on strengthening cooperation amid global challenges and promoting trade in local currencies, including Rupee-Rouble trade with Russia.
