Abstract
This essay explores Arvind-Pal Singh Mandair’s Sikh philosophy and examines how concepts like hukam, giān, and āvāgavan challenge the secular foundations of International Relations. By navigating the binaries of religion and philosophy, reason and faith, and linear versus cyclical time, Sikh philosophy creates decolonial pathways for rethinking order, knowledge, and history. It acknowledges complexities and ambivalences while responsibly negotiating these ideas, ultimately aiming for an ethical orientation.
