Abstract

This paper introduces the introduces Generative AI (GenAI), a new revolution which is setting up a forward standard for human and machine interaction. It examines 'ancestor' models, multimodal transformers and large language models, which are the primitive versions of the units that enable software like ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude and DALL E to generate original text, images, code and other content on their own. We will examine how GenAI is heavily automating tasks and personalizing interactions across a range of industries, including engineering, healthcare, and education, by comparing with actual cases and existing research. It has resulted in a significant development of human potential and productivity. It also highlights key concerns, such as bias, disinformation, legal matters and job displacement, that must be addressed to achieve the full potential offered by GenAI while minimizing its associated risks.
